Technician and Manager

District Service Manager

As the District Service Manager, you will assume entire District Automotive ownership for Auto Center Manager and Associate Management & Engagement, Customer Service Satisfaction, and Auto Center Execution & Financial Performance in approximately 15 Auto Centers within a specified geographic market. You will be responsible for building, recruiting, staffing, coaching, developing, and holding accountable a team of approximately 15-20 managers and 150-300 hourly sales and technician associates. You will also guide the Auto Center Managers and associates in specified district and develop their talent. Finally, you will ensure customer satisfaction in your district and measure the financial performance of all the locations in your area.

Back Shop Coordinator

If you are interested in providing direction and support for the back shop operations and Technician performance in the service bays of the Automotive Center, then this job could be perfect for you. You’ll also be responsible for providing coaching and technical counsel to all Technician levels to help improve the productivity, profitability, and member experience of your Auto Center. You’ll also work closely with the Auto Center Management team and will be tasked with a variety of other responsibilities.

Auto Center Manager

In this position you’ll be responsible for managing your own Auto Center and the stores associates. As part of your job you’ll focus on mastering all functions within your store, including sales, profitability, merchandising, staffing, safety, and local marketing initiatives. You’ll also be responsible for providing professional, timely and courteous service by listening carefully to customers, presenting Sears Automotive products clearly. If you enjoy leading people and making a difference in a customer’s experience, this could be the right position for you.

Assistant Auto Center Manager

As the Assistant Manager, you’ll be responsible for ensuring consistent, timely, and accurate service delivery to customers by building, supervising, and training a high performance sales and service team. You’ll work closely with the Auto Center Manager and District Service Manager to help achieve long and short-term business goals. An integral part of this position is to ensure great customer service on a daily basis — spending time directly selling to customers and addressing their auto needs and concerns. The Assistant Manager is responsible for running the store when the manager isn’t around as well as many other tasks and responsibilities.

At Sears Auto Centers, we take all of our managers through our extensive, five week, Automotive Management Academy to provide them with the leadership skills and automotive knowledge they need to succeed. New managers will work with their District Manager and experienced mentor Auto Center Managers to get a firsthand look at what it takes to become a great manager and leader. Our award-winning training team completes the programs with fun, interactive seminars on professional selling, interviewing techniques, coaching methods, and time management.
