How do I know if I need an alignment?
If your car is pulling to either side, or if you feel you have to fight to keep it driving straight down the road, you probably need an alignment service. Come into your local Sears Auto Center and we can perform a comprehensive alignment check in 1-2 minutes.
Why is proper alignment important?
Proper alignment extends tire life, improves fuel efficiency, and reduces wear and tear on steering component.
How often should I have my alignment checked?
Experts recommend having your alignment checked every year or 12,000 miles. You should also have your alignment checked after certain services, such as a strut replacement or brake replacement if it affects your suspension system. Service professionals also recommend an alignment check after the installation of new tires, to prevent premature wear and protect your investment.
What is the difference between a front end (two-wheel) and a four-wheel alignment?
A four-wheel alignment is exactly what it sounds like: a service that aligns all four tires with one another. Front wheel drive vehicles with an adjustable rear suspension and cars with four-wheel independent suspensions especially need four-wheel alignments to ensure that the back wheels are in line with the front wheels. A front end alignment aligns just the front two tires. Cars with a solid rear axle can usually get by with just a front end alignment, but confirm with your mechanic to make sure.
